CLS is or was an independent liberal think tank. Founded in 1994 as foundation it was refounded in 1999 as civil society organization. Its main task is to spread liberal ideas in the Czech society. The current status of the institute is unclear because its web adress refers now to a promotional site. The ELF lists it as member and active[1]. CLS shares it postal address with the Czech branch office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
